Bean, Bush 'Valdor'

‘Valdor’ replaces ‘Goldrush’ as it is resistant to summer death. Delicious tasting yellow beans are produced over a long period.

 

When to sow: Mid-October to early January

Where to sow: Direct into a garden bed

Depth to sow: 2.5cm

Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.

Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.

Spacing: Between plants 5cm Between rows 50 to 80cm apart

 

Directions: After the danger of frost is over plant bush beans in 2.5cm deep, 5cm apart in rows 50 to 80cm apart in well drained soil. When the crop is ready it should be picked every couple of days or so. Plant from mid-October until early January.
