Anisodontea ‘El Royo’

This new variety of Anisodontea has large, for the genus, hibiscus like flowers which are rich pink during the warmer months and deepen to salmon-pink during colder periods. Whilst this evergreen shrub flowers for much of the year it is at its best during winter when its flowering is most abundant. Happy in any sunny or lightly shaded spot, it is very drought tolerant when once established. Grows up to two metres in height and two metres and a half across. Not for small gardens and does sucker freely so one for a tough position where you want colour and durability in a pollinator friendly evergreen shrub.
