Ajuga reptans ‘Catlins Giant’

This Californian bred plant is one of the best ground covers for shade. We grow it under a Washington Thorn by the side of a brick path. It makes evergreen mats of large glistening bronze leaves, dense and weed proof. During spring rich violet flowers cover 35cm tall spires. We give it a soak about once a fortnight otherwise it asks little except for removing spent flower spikes. 35cm x 50cm.
