Agrostemma githago (Corn Cockle) ‘Ocean Pearl’

One of the most beautiful of all annuals, corn cockle seed should be planted outside in garden beds in autumn through to early spring. ‘Ocean Pearls’ is a new strain which produces pure white silky flowers some 3 to 5cm across on 60 to 70cm tall stems during spring.

 

When to sow: Autumn to early spring
Where to sow: Sow seed in situ
Depth to sow: 3 to 5mm
Aspect:  Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil:  Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add   lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants: 20cm

   

Directions: Plant seed into the final position in the garden from autumn until early spring.
