Tithonia rotundifolia

Taller growing than ‘Goldfinger’ but with similar burnt orange or red flowers on 180cm tall stems. Seed is best sown in situ in the same way that Zinnia is
treated. Needs full sun and well drained soil to do well but is worth any trouble.

When to sow: After spring frosts are over
Where to sow: In permanent position in the garden
Depth to sow: 1/2cm
Aspect:  Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil:  Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants: 30 to 50cm

Directions:  Sow 3 seeds per station some 30cm to 50cm apart when any frost danger is past in spring. Thin to one plant when true leaves appear. Height 150cm by width 60cm.
