Stock ‘Mammoth Excelsior’ (Matthiola incana)

A marvellous cut flower strain with tall non-branching stems on a vigorous plant. Contains all the colours, pink, white, magenta, purple, lemon and biscuit. Sow seeds during autumn, winter and early spring.

When to sow: Autumn, winter and early spring
Where to sow: In seed trays under cover
Depth to sow: 1/2cm
Aspect:  Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil:  Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil.
Spacing: Between plants: 30cm 
   

Directions: Raise seedlings under cover and plant out into a prepared garden bed when large enough.
