Salvia nemorosa ‘Viola Klose’

A German bred plant which I bought from Beth Chatto’s beautiful nursery in the UK and brought through Australia's stringent quarantine requirements. Salvia ‘Viola Klose’ is a relatively dwarf plant with spikes of the darkest violet blue flowers. It is both early and long flowering. It starts to flower in October and if cut to the ground around Christmas it will flower again during February, March and April. Sun. 40cm x 50cm.

Shipping Herbaceous Plants

During the period April to October we commonly ship herbaceous (deciduous & winter dormant) plants without any foliage or stems. This is a normal practice for mail order plants and they should be treated as normal: planted out with a very light watering and then left to their own devices. They will reshoot as the days lengthen and be all the better for the treatment.
