Kniphofia ‘Ascot Lemon’
Lemon Flowered Red Hot Poker
We had been trying to breed a dwarf lemon Kniphofia for many years, hoping to eliminate the touch of coral or orange found in most cultivars. We succeeded with this one. Green buds open to lemon flowers during spring and early summer. The evergreen foliage is particularly neat and upright. We cut back the leaves of the summer flowering pokers in winter to about 10cm. Sun. 60cm x 40cm.
