Eucomis ‘Purple Leaf’

The grandest of all the pineapple lilies making handsome basal rosettes, about 80cm across, of long, wide, glossy purple leaves. During mid to late summer a meter or more tall, strong, stiffly upright stems, purple and glossy, are densely packed on the upper third with white stained purple star-like flowers. It makes an excellent commercial cut flower. Grow in a sheltered position shaded from the western sun and allow some extra summer irrigation. A superb plant for sun or light shade. 100cm x 80cm.
