Endive ‘Dubuisson’ (Cichorium endivia)

A beautiful frisee endive with fine green leaves which are soft yellow in the centre. I plant seed from September until February and get a crop for much of the year as it is very slow to bolt.

Where to sow: In a seed tray or direct in a prepared   garden bed
Depth to sow: 5mm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil:  Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add   lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants 30cm Between rows 30cm

Directions:  Raising plants in seed trays and planting   out when 5cm tall brings good results  in growing full size endives. They can also   be sown straight into their permanent   position in a prepared garden bed.
