Crocus sieberi ssp. atticus ‘Firefly’
This beautiful winter flowered crocus has been happy in the same spot in the dry garden for 15 years. During winter it is in full sun but from mid-spring, when the leaves dry off, until late autumn it rests in the shade of a drift of Salvia nemorosa. The soft lilac flowers, paler on the outside, with a distinct yellow base are in flower with us from early July into August. A good tough doer.
