Pink Dawn Chitalpa
This intergeneric hybrid between Catalpa bignonoides and Chilopsis linearis was raised in the Tashkent botanical gardens in Uzbekistan. It is a superb summer flowering small tree or large shrub for both hot dry inland conditions and coastal areas. It freely produces showy heads of large, pink, tubular flowers. Best grown in sun or light shade this Chitalpa is happy in any sunny position and is drought tolerant when once established.
