Broccoli x Gailan ‘Happy Rich’ F1

Happy Rich is a productive hybrid between Chinese broccoli and Calabrese broccoli with a very sweet and delicious flavour. It can be planted the year round and each planting will give a good 2 to 3 months of mini broccoli heads. Seed is best planted straight into the garden 3 seeds per station, 1cm deep and 20cm apart with 40cm between rows. Thin to one seedling.

When to sow: Late winter to late autumn
Where to sow: Direct into prepared bed
Depth to sow: 1cm
Aspect:  Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil:  Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add   lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing:  Between plants  20cm

Between rows 40cm
