Asian Greens, Cabbage, Chinese ‘Rubicon’ F1

A delicious, crisp, sweet flavoured Chinese cabbage with yellow interiors and white ribs. Quick growing and slow to bolt it takes only 60 to 65 days to mature. The seed is best planted straight into the garden during summer and autumn. Full size closed head with deep green leaves and a creamy yellow interior. Sweet tangy juicy flavour. A slow bolting variety suited to year round growing. Sow seed in garden bed 3 seeds 1/2cm deep every 30-40cm from August until March. Thin to one seed.

When to sow: Summer to autumn
Where to sow: Direct in prepared garden bed
Depth to sow: 1/2cm
Aspect: Full sun or as sunny a spot as possible.
Soil: Prepared, well drained, fertilised soil. Add lime if soil is too acid.
Spacing: Between plants  30cm; Between rows    40cm

Directions: Sow 3 seeds every 30cm and thin to one seedling after germination.
