Dutch Tulip Cultivation

Our new supplier of Dutch tulips grows superb quality bulbs which are equal if not better than you could find in Holland itself.

Tulips are best planted soon after Anzac Day. If it is still hot then its best to wait a little longer. Tulip bulbs can be safely planted up to Mothers day but any later than that will lead to a diminished display.

Tulip bulbs should be kept in a dry room or shed until planting time.

Do not put tulip bulbs in the fridge unless you are attempting to grow them outside of their suited range

These tulips are not recommended for coastal New South Wales or subtropical Queensland or mild coastal areas.

The grower has done everything necessary to produce a brilliant display. All the gardener needs to do is plant the bulbs between 10 and 15cm deep.

Tulips are brilliant in pots. Plant a dozen in a 30cm pot or less in smaller pots.
